Ice // Clepsy
The Concept
The idea for this project was born in collaboration with Ariete, a manufacturer of household appliances.
Due to the pandemic, it has become increasingly important to live in a healthy domestic environment.
The decision to create an air purifier reflects sensitivity to a current, important issue: improving health in both the private and collective dimensions.
Shapes
Through formal and structural research, we have designed two portable air purifiers that meet ergonomic, functional, and transportability needs. These easy-to-use, easy-to-handle products focus on interaction design, texture, and colors.
“Clepsy” is a compact and ergonomic product that, with its hourglass shape, facilitates grip. It is a purifier designed for students working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment, thanks to its eccentric form and warmer color palette.
“Ice” is a functional product whose shape is inspired by an ice cube, enhancing the flow of air. With its minimalist design, it also doubles as a piece of furniture. Featuring a cool color palette, it is aimed at a more adult and professional audience.
